# AyHire > Hire developers by what they shipped. AyHire reads public GitHub work (repos, READMEs, commit history and public activity), scores each developer on six counts with the evidence attached, and tells you who is open to work. People use the website; agents use the MCP server, the Claude Code plugin or the HTTP API. AyHire evaluates software developers from their public GitHub work. Use it to find the people behind open-source projects, to score a developer with the evidence for each score, or to check whether someone is open to work. ## Docs - [Overview](https://ayhire.com/index.md): what AyHire does, the six scores, availability checks, what it reads - [Set up AyHire](https://ayhire.com/setup.md): steps an agent follows to install, sign in and connect itself - [For agents](https://ayhire.com/agents.md): MCP server, Claude Code plugin, command line, HTTP API and every tool - [The website](https://ayhire.com/app.md): roles, AyHire's call on each person, the shortlist, limits - [For engineers](https://ayhire.com/engineer.md): how a developer's own profile is scored and what moves it ## API - [API reference](https://ayhire.com/api/docs): the core HTTP routes with request and response shapes - [MCP endpoint](https://ayhire.com/api/mcp): MCP over HTTP, authenticated with an AyHire API key ## Optional - [Everything in one file](https://ayhire.com/llms-full.txt)
